OUR VISION

With Love, Grace & Guidance of God:

• We intend to have a church that truly loves all and worships One!

• We intend to show the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, by creating a culture of loving acceptance for all of God's children regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities or economic status.

• We intend to allow each individual to grow in their faith, to find their own spiritual identity.

• We intend to build a congregation with ministries that support and affirm individuals, family units and one's service to God.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

We are an open and affirming congregation. We are a laid back, come as you are, love Jesus congregation. As our motto states: Love All! Worship ONE! We welcome everyone wherever they are on their journey. We walk along side each person to help them find their spiritual truth; to show them the unconditional love of Christ and to help them develop and grow in their relationship with Christ. We are truly an extended family to each congregant. We are known for being welcoming and for our love and generosity.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the One true God, the loving Creator who was, is and is to come.

We believe in God revealed through Jesus Christ, God manifested in human form so that humankind knows that God understands our humanness. Jesus Christ pointed us to a fuller understanding of God’s nature and God’s desire for the world. Through Christ dying for our sins, we believe our sins are forgiven and we are granted salvation and eternal life.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, God’s powerful, gentle, loving, guiding, convicting presence in our lives today. We believe that God is great, mysterious, and larger than we are able to understand.

We believe we are called to act out our faith through treatment of others; of pursuing justice for all those left out, pushed out, and forgotten. We hold tightly to Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by free grace that you are saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves, but it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

We believe in a community of faith to help us continue to grow in relationship with God.

We believe God judges all nations and people with righteousness, justice, and mercy.

Through baptism, You name us and claim us as Your own. Through sharing the Lord’s Supper, You remind us that we are not alone; that as we partake of the holy meal, we are eating with saints that have gone before us, and saints that are yet to come.

We believe that mystery encompasses the being and work of God. We believe that God’s ways are not our ways but that we can seek God’s way through prayer, meditation, acts of service and study.

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired written Word of God, the all-sufficient authority of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

We believe in life ever after, and that death though shrouded in mystery, will unite us with the One who created us in His kingdom which has no end.
