Joyce Ellen Moody, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Lexington. Joyce is survived by her son, Chuck Moody (Niki) of Texas; daughters, Genny Moody (Lance) of Lexington and Jackie Wallace (Ricky) of Lexington; brother, Bruce Grissom of Texas; sisters, Pam Overman of Lexington, Jill Quire of Texas, and Barbie White of Lexington; twelve grandchildren, Jayden, Justin, Ethan, Caidence, James, Cameron, Riley, Austin, Dade, Kayla, Linell, and Jeremy; three great grandchildren, Raegan, Charlie, and Dennis Ray; numerous other loving relatives and friends; and her faithful and loving dog, Honey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Grissom, husband, Ray Moody and sister, Margie Straughn. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 21 at 11AM at Reed’s Chapel with burial to follow in Hare Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, from 4PM-9PM and Saturday from 9AM until service.
Joyce was also a beloved member of the Phoenix Christian Church in Wildersville, TN and will be greatly missed by her tribe. So long for now Ms. Joyce, we'll see you later. Go rest easy with your first true love, Ray. Until we meet again!
